Yeah, I read that. I realize why they did it but it still doesn't make much sense. The change in the timeline is based on the Nero killing Kirk's dad and later blowing up Vulcan. Unless the one thing that kept Uhura and Spock from hooking up was a Kirk who had grown up with a father?
