It's funny the people closest to me are expressing stronger emotions, and friends a little less, and people from work a little less than that. Aquaintances a very small amount...What did you expect? I have a lot to say regarding motorcycles but I refrain from saying such things as I know I will just be wasting my breath. So here you go

Well the problem is I enjoy doing stuff that's dangerous. The Mountain biking, Roller blading, Skiing, Water Skiing, and all of that stuff. It all has risks, I've been injured doing all of them, well except the water skiing, it just wore me out so much that I couldn't walk easily for a couple days...
I just keep remembering this story of a Motorcycle racer that tripped walking down the stairs in his basement, hit his head and died... That's a really awful way of going.
i think in life, you have to do what you want to do to enjoy life. regrets will be there, or not. but it's all relative, and may not be good advice. ie, if i am a crack user, i am doing what i want to do to enjoy life. but i might die of it as a result. since i am me, the craziest thing i'll do is prob go scuba diving. but a risk could arise there. you just never, ever, know. i am sorry you have to go thru this. i guess the best is to take it day by day, no matter if someone is on a bike, in a car, flying, skiing, whatever, and just hope God or something or someone or dumb luck will help everyone out if needed. this isn't coming out how i wanted it to. time3's comment is really intersting and making me think (scary i know!!)
You have to live your life how you want to... and if you choose to take risks then that's what you do. I'm sure that if you had a wife or kids you would think a bit harder about some of the risks before "jumping"... it just happens that way... but until then - just enjoy life... and if tragedy befalls you, then we'll all be able to say "at least he went doing what he loved"..... :) ~A
Nothing unfortunate about enjoying the unsafe, as long as it is not blatantly stupid. If I ever see a post that you've taken to sticking your hand in a blender for kicks, we'll need to have a talk. In the meantime, carpe freakin' diem.
