After a somewhat debilitating week or so, I’m once again healthy enough to return to work and life in general. On Friday night a week ago, fevers struck me out of the blue, and I spent the next two days virtually wiped out; at one point I hit 39.8C (103.6F). With the fever came a cough that has had me hacking so badly the resulting neck clenching and tension brought on a headache. All in all, it felt very similar to my visit to hospital a few years back with fever and headaches wiping me out for days. Whatever the case, I dragged my sorry corpse to the doctors, got me some antibiotics, some steroids for my lungs and even some plain old cough syrup. A solid self dosing with the aforementioned drugs and I’ve finally felt human again for the first time in a week.
