Being bored is not good, I think.
I'm on leave until the end of the week (I start working again on Monday 22 October) and I, uh, am tinkering with my site, now with its own domain name. Um. I was bored, ok. Now I'm trying to get WordPress to look like I want it to, and ultimately failing, because I don't know how to pass arguments in PHP and I did not read the documentation. Woe.
Combining the OpenID and threaded comments plugin is making my head hurt. I think I'll just work on the layout first.
The index page that the host had set up makes me smile, though. I'm not removing it until most stuff is in order, and a line from it says, and I quote, "If you are visiting this site, we serve to inform you that this site is currently under construction and do visit again in future or you can contact the honorable webmaster for further information." Honourable indeed.
My account doesn't support SSH/shell access, though. I'm not entirely sure if it's supposed to -- I'll have to poke around some more. Trying to do things from the file manager makes me go, "it's rm -rf, dammit! Delete the whole thing!" and it doesn't understand me. Sad.
In other news, Trick or Treat 2007 is going on in bottle_of_shine's journal! To summarise, leave a Final Fantasy pairing and prompt, and someone may leave a trick (a gen fic! which, by the way, doesn't seem much like a trick to me, haha) or treat (a pairing fic!) for you. I am cobbling something up, and uh, it's over the comment character limit. There is something wrong with me today. Oh well.
