Catching up on NaNoWriMo

I'll have to look into the wordsprint thing. I never hang out on the forums much (since the best guaranteed way to make me not right is to give me something else to putter around with) so I never really knew what they were supposed to be.

This year I've mostly been using Habitica to keep myselfaccountable, setting a 200 wordcount Daily in there as a bare minimum, and habit buttons I can hit for every 200 word that follows, for matching the words-per-day goal, or for finishing a chapter.

I find wordsprints to be pretty helpful. There are 5- 10- and 15-minute threads, and typically someone will say "I'm starting at the :00 or the :15 or whatever and you write and then post how many words you did. For me, the competition of trying to write the most words helps me get over the hump of wanting to write the BEST words, which is part of why so much of my stuff goes unfinished.
