wow...
well..it happened today, after a while. i was gettin on the shuttle after my aerodynamics test and jen was sittin there in the front seat. i think heart-wrenching is the word i have to use. not because it hurt to see her, or that i got really excited. that's just what if felt like, my heart skipped a beat and it felt...well wrenched i suppose. i felt like my insides jumped and my heart skipped a beat. i suppose it just really caught me off guard as we haven't seen each other for like 3-4 weeks now. it was a very odd feeling. it was nice seein her. we stopped and talked for a little bit after we got off the shuttle but we both had stuff we needed to take care of so it was only for a few minutes. overall it was nice seein her, the main thing was it just threw me off when i first saw her, totally wasn't expecting it. maybe the random run in will help get us to bein friends again since after the initial shock, it was like either of us were feelin awkward because no one had to go out of their way to see each other.
in other news...took my aerodynamics test today as i said before. it was actually a make up because i missed the monday test since i have been sick since the 12th i wasn't able to focus on studying due to the meds and cough and general shitty feelings. i didn't ace it, but i think i got a B without any curving. damn closed book closed note tests. oh well. i didn't fail, that's the big thing. i'm just tired as hell now since i stayed up late and got up early to continue preparing for it. seems like it was worth the extra time though, took me from a C to a B at least.
on the sick side of things...i'm bout out of cough medicine and haven't found out if my doc is goin to give me more since it has codeine (spelling?) in it. i hope so, i slowed down on it the past two days and i def cough a lot more without it. once i stop coughing i'll stop taking it, i'm not worried about forming an addiction to it or anything.
what else. we have a meeting for our senior design project tomorrow. some guys that worked on the car originally are coming down and will hopefully shed some light on how it was modified originally so we know where it stood, and can figure out where it stands, so we can figure out whether we have to strip it bare and start anew or if we can modify a lot of what is there and make it do what we need and want. it's goin to be a lot of work either way, so the sooner we figure that out, the sooner we can get to work.
i've been thinking recently about stayin a fifth year here in miami. one more year at school means a master's degree. the problem is scholarships don't extend to the fifth year, so i'd most likely have to take out a loan for almost the full amount of tuition (which is a lot if you don't go here and haven't heard). so i haven't decided, mostly based on money. no one usually will argue that more education and upgrading your degree is a bad thing, but that's the biggest con to doing it. any input? anyone?
regarding kappa sig...we're lookin at moving into a new house! we are still working out the details of how a leasing contract would look, and depending on how that goes, we will move or not move. we know what we want and can offer, it's up to the other guys now if they see things our way. more on that as it develops.
my only other big news that i can think of is that adam is comin down to visit the week before my spring break :D his spring break falls the week before ours this year, but he's coming anyways. he's stayin through the first weekend of my spring break though, so the last couple of days i'll be completely free. this will be the...third time he's visited i think? for any of yall who might not know, adam is one of my best friends from high school, one of the select handful i still talk to on a semi-regular basis. so yeah, i'm excited about that, it's always nice to have an old friend visit, especially when it is someone who you've been really close with over the years.
alright, well i think this might officially be my longest post ever. i'm goin to see if i have any work that needs to get done, otherwise i'll find something to keep myself busy until JC gets back in the office and tells me what i need to work on. lates
