Where I watch Revolutionary Girl Utena, Episode 21

Last time we had Wakaba, a secondary character defined primarily by her relationship with Utena, and this time we have Keiko, a tertiary character who existed more as part of a set of toadies to follow Nanami around. What's next, one of those three weird guys who also tend to show up in Nanami-centric episodes?

In all seriousness though, this was again quite fascinating. By taking the stock sterotype, the lacky of the mean girl, and actually treating her as a person with her own needs and wants, we really get an appreciation for how toxic the whole set-up really is. And Anthy? Yeah, while you can lie to yourself that the feelings of others don't matter when you're in love, that's not healthy, and it won't last. But then again, I do not believe we are meant to take Anthy at her word, just simply to take this as her philosophy on love and life.

Really, the only thing this episode was missing, was a Juri/Miki scene.
