I mean, that conversation with the student council about how you can't change who you love, while fun, wouldn't have really had a point if it wasn't hinting at an important development. Well done writers, well done.
Also, Tatsuya ends up going to Souji for the interview! And just as I'm noticing that the picture of the butterfly isn't regressing like it did all the other times, Souji comes out and tells Tatsuya that he's too good a person, he doesn't belong there. Personally, I found some of the things he was saying in there to be a bit, you 'entitled nice-guy' syndrome, but yeah, nothing on the level of the others who went in, just a guy who ran into a little difficulty in love and just needed some time to process it. Nothing deep rooted like the others.
