Where I watch Revolutionary Girl Utena, Episode 10
So, yeah, thanks to Touga's schemings and plottings, Saioniji has now been expelled from school while making himself look like the hero of the picture. Then Saioniji entrusts the exchange diary that he'd been sharing with Anthy to Touga, who promptly dumps it in the incinerator. We also have the fact that Miki and Juri have no knowledge of the fake letter from the End of the World, which makes me wonder whether any of the letters they've been getting were ever real, or if the whole set-up is just one big elaborate sham on Touga's part to manipulate everyone? Really, the way he took advantage of Nanami's feelings for him to once again make himself look like a "prince" to Utena, it makes me wonder if he was also behind what happened with Miki and his sister, and Juri and that girl she was in love with. Wouldn't surprise me at any rate.
We also do some flashbacks with Nanami, in which she goes through a lot of trouble to get a cute little kitten for her brother...only for him to ignore her in favor of the kitten. So she does the only logical thing and tries to drown it. Well, she does succeed, but at the last second she realizes what she's doing, but it's already too late. Yep, Nanami's got a big twisted up bundle of emotions tied up inside of her. And today's Shadow-Play...I guess it's about stuff growing out of control? Not sure what the significance of the name issue was, but I'm sure there was something there. And the song in today's duel was about the galaxy and time, isolation and how there is only today. And the duel itself was very different, with Nanami continuing even after her rose was lost, pulling out a dagger and breaking the blade of her sword, causing a lock of her hair to be cut off...again, all of which Touga arranged to have himself come off as the noble prince.
So let me just say this now; Don't let him win Utena! You're one million times the prince he'll ever be!
