well, tomorrow is the first day of school, only i aint gotta go seeing as im a graduate, yay!! ocean city was loads of fun, it was great to see kirsten again for the first time in like 8 months, and to meet her cute friend jenn. the first day was more or less a chill day, for us to get everything in the hotel room and chill around for most of the day. the second day i convinced them to go to shenanigans for dinner, my favorite restuarant on the whole boardwalk, and they didnt leave the restaurant/irish pub disappointed. they loved the food as much as i love their food, and they actually thanked me for introducing them to shenanigans. we also swam in the ocean for a little bit (i more or less waded and floated around since i cant swim all that well). that first night something really creepy happened, some 20 or 30 something blonde woman that i didnt know came up to me and asked me if i knew where to get any weed. that shit creeped me out, b/c im sure no one else would appreciate some stranger coming up to you asking you if you know where to get any weed, do i look that much like a pothead? for all i know it couldve been a cop trying to profile me and bust me b/c i apparently look like a druggie. anyways, now we head to the highlight of my whole trip.
there is this under 21 nightclub at the beginning of the boardwalk called H20, and it sucks, so i didnt wanna go in there, but kirsie and jenn wanted to, so i told them that i would meet them either at the arcade after they were done or the hotel room. well anyways, as i was walking up the side to the arcade (which was located conveniently next to the H20 club), there were these two guys in front of me walking up the same way, they turned around b/c they prolly heard me walking behind them so they wanted to see who was walking. i said hows it going, and the first thing one of them said was "are you a pantera fan?" i said "yeah and damageplan, how did you know?" they figured it out from my outfit and how i looked. i was wearing my red plaid vest, a metal shirt, black shorts, black chucks, and according to them i got a dimebag thing going with my beard. so after that i showed them what i had in my cd player (it was Vulgar Display of Power from Pantera), they thought it was awesome. they asked me where i was from, i said carroll county, and to my surprise, they were also from carroll county, and would be senior's at winters mill high school this year. their names are Trevor and Chad, Trevor has two dimebag guitars, the Dimeslime from washburn, and the Far Beyond Driven Tribute from Dean guitars. he then told me that he used to play for this band called valhalla, and a memory button snapped in the back of my head, b/c my friend steve black used to sing for them and told me about this badass guitarist named trevor that played in the band, so i let them know about that funny little coincidence and i walked with them on the boardwalk. chad is a drummer and was about to display his skills on an mtv drum machine in the arcades. he was a little drunk he said, but nonetheless, he blew me away with his skills and got me all hopeful for the future. before they left i got chad's sn and cell phone number, and there is a very strong possibility that i could jam with them this weekend. im beginning to think that running into them at ocean city wasnt a coincidence, b/c i hit it off with them like the first 5 minutes that i was talking to them. i could never find a drummer anywhere, any drummers that i already knew were either already in bands or werent the kinda drummer i was looking for (im looking for a drummer that wants to play metal music). so we parted ways and i went back to the hotel room with very high hopes.
fast forward to friday, 20 for 7 played a great show at Brewnettes, they were originally supposed to open for Luinissinfis, but 20 for 7 ended up headlining the whole show, yay. the drummer of Luinissinfis was absofuckinglutely amazing, he could take travis to school anyday of the week, and he knows it, lol. all i could manage to do was stand there in awe, same thing with dad and travis. christine drove mom and dad to the show so they could get as drunk as they wanted to, and they sure as hell did, hehehe. dave brought me, ric, and junior to brewnettes and we all had a great time. tony even gave me 4 seconds of fame (there is a part near the end of their song Goodfoot where everything gets quiet and tony all of a sudden goes "5,6,7,8!!" only this time he handed me the mike and let me do the count off). after we got home, i got drunk with jimmy, and had a severely long talk with my drunk dad, and laughed while he and travis were arguing about who the better drummer was, and even going to the extent of challenging travis to a drum off. it was funny stuff.
well, here i am waiting for tomorrow so i can call walmart and hopefully talk about employment there. other than that, there really isnt anything else new. tah!!
