what a weekend

What better way to celebrate my brothers wedding but to have three days of festivities with my family. Let me just say how much I love my family. I would put them up against any other I have ever met in terms of fun factor. We started the weekend off on thursday night when me, my brother, my parents, and my aunt went and got some beers at the bar at Mission Inn. Mission Inn was the site of the wedding festivities for all of you who don't know. It was pretty funny watching drunk business men and women dance. I was probably the youngest one in their by about 10 years. The funny thing is I could totally see our group being the same way they were when we get that age. haha. After this we went to bed early cause we had a tee time at the crack of dawn.

So Friday morning we played on of Mission Inn's championship courses. This place was so freakin beautiful I couldn't believe it. Smooth greens, unblemished fairways, someone get me a bib. lol. After that we hung out by the pool for a little bit with the rest of the family and then relaxed in the room. About the middle of the day we went to the rehearsal would proved to be extremely boring but we made the best of it. When you get us 3 groomsmen and my brother together we could make any situation fun. After that it was time for the reception. There were about 40 or 50 people there I think. It was a blast though. We finished off every beer that the catering company had brought for the party. Jokes were flying left and right and my aunt joy taught us all some interesting things about golf. I'll never look at it the same. haha. After this me and some family spent the rest of the night down by the pool at the resort.

Saturday started off early too with our trip to Bass Pro Shop. The place is huge and offers just about any Great Outdoors gear you could ever want. Haha. I think Kerry spent about an hour just in the soft bait fishing section. On our way back to Mission Inn where would we stop but a winery. Ahhh, wine tasting. If its free its for me. Finally we got back, I hoped in the shower and then it was time to head to the church. The big day was finally here. We got dressed and just hung out trying to stay relaxed in the back room of the church. Now for those of you who don't know the groomsman lineup its a very easy to get along with group. We had me as the best man, and then Reverend Dan and Special K (aka. Kerry) as ushers/groomsmen. Kerry looked just like a secret agent in his tux so we gave him a fitting name. And the Rev (Reverend Dan) stayed sober for this one. So when you get us all together the shit starts flying out of our mouths. We almost took action photos with the choir uniforms in the back room but my father talked us out of it. It would have been great. The wedding went very smoothly and didn't take very long. Sarah, my new sister in law, looked so beautiful. I barely even recognized her cause she's not the dressy type of person. She had a wicked grin on her face the whole ceremony but why not. It was her day. lol. I couldn't be any happier for them. This whole weekend just put me in a great mood. :-)

Well, I hate to keep my couple of avid readers hanging but I'm going back to bed. I'll finish the rest of the story night and weekend tomorrow.
