So here we are now already in December. 23 days till Christmas. This year seems to have gone quite fast. I have also now worked at AT&T Wireless for over a year and am loathing it more and more every day. This past system upgrade has been such a joke. Being down for over 3 weeks, and still at this point have a capacity issue. I love getting the e-mail "Can we have all customer care log out of Siebel because we need all the retail stores to be able to log in" So, now that I have worked there over a year it is time to move on. I have applied at couple places, but at this point if it is not a call center job I am so there!!!
In other news.....
Thanksgiving went quite well. We had a group of 16 people over at the house. The 24lb turkey came out well. I was not very happy with the stuffing though. The sweet potato dish was pretty good as well. I think all in all though good times were had by all. Friday Johnny went and got his Christmas tree and lights out of storage and brought them over. I had to work, so he came over after and we set up the tree and put some more lights up. I am really starting to get into the x-mas spirit. Sunday I woke up with a sore throat, but otherwise felt good. I should have known better and took medicine right then and there so as to avoid where I am right now. I went to work and about noon started going down hill. It seems like everyone is sick. All but one person on my team is sick including their kids and my supervisor, everyone and Johnny's work is sick as well. Angela is also sick as well as Johnny's niece whom he lives with so who knows which one I picked it up from. Brian really took care of me though. It is so nice to have someone like him around to look after me. He went and brought me medicine, and then brought me water, and tea, and juice and what not. Made sure that I had everything that I needed. Sunday when I got home I had a 101 temp, then monday I went up to 102 temp, so at this point it was time for a doctor visit. Johnny came and picked me up today at about 11am, he made some coffee and made me a bagel. Then he played with Uno for a bit and we listened to Christmas music since my appointment was not till 3pm. He had to be at his Chiropractic appointment at 2pm, so he dropped me off at Edwards. I had 102.5 temperature when getting to Edwards. Edwards boyfriend made some great pasta and then Edward took me to the Doctor. He did a strep test, and started me on antibiotics. Right now I am just sitting here in one of Edwards guest bedrooms planning on one of his laptops connected to the wireless network. The joys of no cords, oh would love to know such a thing. ;) The doctor told me not to go to work tomorrow so I may just stay here, I have not decided yet. Since I have no car here I am at the mercy of Johnny or Edward.
