Friday the Thirteenth - another random post
Ooh, I've just noticed the new little symbols for the feeds to LJ - purty!
I went to Morrisons earlier to finish off the food shopping for tomorrow night's party and noticed they were doing a ridiculously cheap deal on three DVDs. UK friends, if you do not have the DVDs of Men In Black II, Spiderman or Spiderman 2 and want them, get ye hence to the nearest Morrisons!
In terms of work, life and everything else, I'm still feeling a mixture of stressed and tired and am likely to be so for the next 8 days at least. The *really* busy season at work is supposed to start next week, from what they say, and whilst I welcome some proper work to do, the combination of feeling woefully inadequate, unsure what is expected of me, and the nearest we have to a boss at the moment saying to us all last thing today "Have a good weekend - it's probably the last full one you'll have for a while" is churning my insides something terrible. Which is probably why I've spent lots of nights this week clock-watching. I really have no idea how all this is going to impact my home life. And if I really am not going to get home most nights and am going to have to put in time at weekends too, how on earth are we going to manage even just the drop-offs and pick-ups for the girls, let alone spending enough time with them as well? Especially when they're doing such a good job of making me feel guilty anyway. Ack.
In other news, I could hug significantowl right now for the lifeline she's just thrown me. >:D<
My old friend A (aka 'she of Sicilian descent') hopefully arrives tomorrow - which reminds me, I need to ring her this evening. I'm really looking forward to seeing her, but I'm aware I don't want to just download my problems onto her either. Hurrah for good friends - they're precious things.
