Nice weather out there again
There's something a bit gratifying at a very basic level about warring with swarming ants, as we did yesterday evening. Ali has slain her thousands and Hubbie his ten thousands...
Yahoo was obviously having server problems last night, as it was impossible to get into Y!M and very difficult to get onto the Literati games server too. Our ladies game/chat nearly didn't happen, but we all managed to get there in the end (though hiddenhibiscus and significantowl only got in via Yahoo Mexico and had to brave all the instructions in Spanish!). Just one comment on the game: Dor rocks!
I still haven't heard anything more from Hubbie's employers about an official job offer, and yesterday I got an email from an American company with an office in York inviting me for interview there for a financial accountant role. In the absence of anything more definite here in Hull, I shall arrange for an interview next week, but make sure I speak to the guy at Hubbie's employers before the interview to make them aware of the situation (and to prod them a bit)
Today's tasks: Pay the phone bill, get some 'learn basic Italian' tapes from the library for Hubbie (who has a business trip to Italy next week), look for new school trousers for Eldest, and sign on for what I hope may be the last time.
