i hate school...such bullshit...
So, for those of you who don't know, I'm getting my PhD so I can teach at the college level. That's honestly the sole reason I'm doing it, not because I love research. So I enjoy my teaching and take it seriously.
But what the hell am I supposed to do when I'm assigned to teach a class that hasn't filled up with students, and the head of my department STILL WON'T GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER ABOUT WHETHER IT'S CANCELLED OR NOT?!
Seriously, dude, I will show up on Thursday and have no students, and then the shit will hit the fan. I HAVE to teach two classes a semester, so they HAVE to reassign me--BUT THE GOOD LORD ONLY KNOWS WHAT CLASS I WILL BE REASSIGNED TO TEACH. Not to mention it's heinous to tell somebody what they're teaching AFTER CLASS HAS ALREADY STARTED and they have ZERO time to prepare for it. The first two weeks of class are going to be such wacky, zany, haphazard bullshit fun. *pulls hair*
Add to that, the bookstore lost the book order for my other class. Luckily, I'm using a common text and they can poach from other profs' stacks of books, but...Jesus...
