So, naturally, my university has shut down. No accumulation yet, it's not even freezing temperatures, and not more than 2-4 inches accumulation is expected -- yet, THE WORLD IS CANCELLED. Ahaha. I was so hoping to stay home in my pajamas and work today. Score

Seriously, it was the same down in VA last time it snowed there (not this time--this time is an actual mess)--about 3 inches, tops, and the whole area just shut down. Everyone could NOT go to work and WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WANT TO DRIVE THE CAR IT'S SNOWING.
But enjoy the pajamas and working-from-home part, because that's pretty great :)

My dad is working in T-town at the moment. He couldn't even get near you before his bosses freaked out and sent them home. Somehow I doubt it is that bad.

I was out driving it it earlier. It looks lovely coming down, but it is in no way, shape, or form sticking to the roads. I've driven on rainy days that were more dangerous, seriously.

The dangerous part of non-sticking snow is the idiots who drive like they want a wreck to happen. You have the ones speeding up running into the ones slowing down.

No, really. People here freak out more about cold than blizzard conditions. They'll drive 80MPH on snow covered ice, but a perfectly clear, cold day makes them stay home. I don't get it.
