This was really great. It was - interesting by which I mean it captured me and held me all the way through, despite there not being a lot of physical action. I hope that doesn't come across as faint praise, because I surely don't mean it that way. I hope we get more Roslin and Lee in S4 for all the great reasons this fic makes clear.

Thanks. I was a little worried about the fact that it was such a cerebral fic, without much action. I'm glad it worked okay. Thanks so much for letting me know what you thought. :)

I'm here via the_wireless, and I just wanted to tell you how much I like this story. The relationship between Roslin and Lee was one of the things I loved best about season 1, so I was rather sad when the show lost track of it for most of the time. But your fic fills in the blanks most admirably, and I could read about your President and your Captain Apollo discussing politics the whole day.

I was sad, too, when the show chose not to persue that relationship more--because I loved it so much. I think that's why I wrote this, to reclaim it somehow. I'm glad it worked that way for you, too. Thanks for reading and for your kind words. :)

Oh, I've missed Lee and Laura being like this. You've done a great job of filling in the blanks of their relationship from S1, which I missed dearly in the show.

Only when they've shut the door does he lean over the counter, but he still holds his chest in tight.

The head scene was when I started to make wibble noises that didn't stop until the end. It reminded me very strongly of a line from Jacob's Razor recap on TWOP: "Nobody likes the embarrassment of forgiveness." God, that is so Lee. It's so Laura, too, in ways that I had actually forgotten about. Thank you for writing this lovely fic and reminding me.

I miss them, too! So it's good to hear that this fic felt like them--individually (I was worried, especially, about Laura) and as a pair (you know, in the platonic sense, although...).

Thanks for this lovely feedback, dear. ♥

One of the better little stories I have read. Loved your introductions to each section and the following interpretive dialogue. Everything was so well done. I am at a loss for words.

Thanks so much for letting me know you liked it, especially those introductory bits of transcript. I didn't know how they'd come across.

:D

You already know how very much I love this, but I'll say it again in different words. It's so lovely to see these interacting throughout the series in a way that we saw regularly in season one and the beginning of season two. I think you nailed both of them in their voices and got just the right amount of Leemo in there. :)

all he really wants to do is fly and keep everyone else flying. That's the CAG's job. Maybe leadership is that simple, he thinks. Keep things going.
Absolutely perfect, and a great cornerstone to build the piece on.

I adore how alike they are and the way they seem to clash over beliefs that they both ultimately share, and I think you hit on that quite well. I just love it, love it, love it. And I love my poor Lee. Well done, again.

Yes, I'm so glad I toned down the Leemo in that one scene. Although there was still plenty to go around...

Ooh, I was worried about balancing how alike I think they are, in some ways, but how they're not identical, or at least, like you say, sometimes they clash about things even when they agree (perhaps because they're approaching things differently sometimes). So thanks for saying that. And thanks, in general, for being this story's first and most helpful reader. :)
