woohoo! spring break trip!
I'm going to Las Vegas March 14-19, but I actually don't give even half a shit about the city. I'm going because a good friend of mine lives there, and after the requisite night spent on the strip, we're going to hop in his car and drive to San Fransisco and go north from there, maybe do some camping. I know so little about the west coast, so I'm excited about seeing lots of new landscape.

I've only flown once before, and I'm SUPER nervous about flying this time by myself, but I bought the fucking tickets and, dammit!, I'm going to prove to myself that I'm not the biggest chicken that ever lived and that I'm a smart and resourceful enough individual to naviagte airports by myself. Surely I can handle one connecting flight out of Dallas/Fort Worth on the way there and one out of Memphis on the way back. Surely. (Some of you might recall the disastrous first flying experience I had two springs ago. Back then, I saw the inside of 6 different airports, including San Fransisco and Atlanta, so I think DFW can't be any worse. McCarron might be scary, but at least he's meeting me there.) And I'm flying out of B'ham, which is just the teensiest little airport (for a city of its size), one I've been to before several times.
*sighs* Now I have something to worry over for a month. Like maybe Travelocity screwed up my tickets. Or maybe I screwed up my tickets. Or maybe something will be delayed. Or maybe the dramamine won't do its job. Or...
Hold my hand. Tell me I'm not an idiot and people fly all the time and it'll work itself out?
