you know you're a literature scholar when...
You need a book desperately from the library, one you passed over on intial research for a paper, but said book is listed in the catalogue as 'CHECKED OUT - due back January 10.' This makes you really, really cranky!!11!
Then, upon recieving an overdue notice from the library about your research materials, you discover that the book in question HAS BEEN IN YOUR HOUSE ALL ALONG.
(Even better--it's apparently been in the pile of books on my desk that I've been actively shuffling through as I write.)
