jumping off the deep end here

And now, for a fic that can be described with four words. Every person on my flist will likely be annoyed by at least two of these words, maybe all four. Yes, I have gone off the deep end. No, it’s not a permanent sort of illness. It’s like a 24-hour fanfic flu. No apologies, because nobody’s forcing you to read. Curiosity's the only thing ( Read more... )

I liked it! You write Kate so well, but I think I already told you that. You make Ana so tolerable, I love that. All in all, I thought it was really good. Thanks for sharing ;-)

Thanks for reading! Really, I had no conception that people would tolerate either Ana or Kate well enough to read, much less with slashy overtones. You rock! (And thanks for saying Kate was in character. I was less sure about her than Ana Lucia here.)

i'm glad you don't care that people were all meh about the idea and wrote it! I enjoyed this fic very much. Femmeslash (or pre-femmeslash, rather!) isn't anything i've read before, but you make it work. your ana is very well written. way to go you!

Ha! I'VE never written femmeslash or read any that wasn't terrible, so I'm right there with you. Thanks for reading, and for the kick-ass moral support. *smooches*

Oh. Oh wow. This is... stunning, mostly for the insight you offer into Kate, and the way you place Ana, which is to say, exactly how the show does. We see Kate through her, and yet Ana herself remains elusive, almost undefined - but Kate in her vision is clear and sharp and tragic. I'm a sucker for Kate done well, and this fic, despite its POV, is really about her, at least the way I read it.

Slash does nothing for me, male or female, but your exposition gives me chills. Nice job! :)

OHHHH... Thank you so much! I wasn't as focused during the writing on Kate as I was Ana Lucia, so I'm happy that you found Kate in character...it means Ana really DOES see her clearly. I hadn't thought about how much the story is just as much about Kate as Ana.

(And, I gotta say, femmeslash does nothing for me either. If it did, you better believe there would be some smut here. But, Lord, I just don't think I can or would want to write it!)

I'm actually disturbed with myself that I read this but i figured, i'll give it a go considering you wrote it. I was actually happily surprised, this was really good! I hardly ever read F/F but the way you managed to write these two characters was so insightful and fantastic. :D Was great.

Well, I'm disturbed about writing it. I don't read/write F/F...EVER. I'm glad you took the chance to follow me to this crazy place. Thanks for reading and commenting!

I had never read f/f before, because I had no interest, but I'm happy I did click on the link. You did a great job in character analysis, and it's beautifully written, as always. ♥

I don't have any great interest in f/f slash either, but this story just sprang up in my head as a character piece (no f/f smut, though...it just doesn't do it for me). Thank you so much for clicking and reading and letting me know what you thought.
