I second this. The name kept me away from fics purporting to be such - see, I can't even say it - for a long time, until one was nommed at the fic awards. And it turned out to be really good, but I never would have read anything going by that named if I hadn't had to in order to vote.

Snermione. Gods do I hate that one. I'm not sure which is worse, though, that or Grape. Same fandom, same pairing: Hermione Granger and Severus Snape.

OMG, seriously? I'd never heard those (I'm not much into the HP fandom). I have heard Snarry, which is pretty cringe-worthy, too. But I don't know many pairing names that are as bad as Snermione. :)

It's actually my favorite pairing, I just hate the smoosh-name. Compared to that, Snarry sounds positively sane.

And then there's Snack (SS/Sirius Black), Snupin (SS/Remus Lupin), Snacklebolt (SS/Kingsley Shacklebolt, and Snucius (SS/Lucius Malfoy).

ooh- I'll play! Mushed together names are probably my biggest peeve in every fandom. They're universally stupid.

Veronica Mars:

LoVe - Logan and Veronica (Logan would PUKE if he heard it and Veronica would taser someone's ass into next week)

Lost:

Jate - Jack and Kate. For real? Really? it's stupid. It sounds stupid. It looks stupid.

Smallville:

Clex - Clark/Lex. How is it too much effort to type out the extra FOUR letters for Clark/Lex?

There are probably a few dozen others that I'm too tired to remember right now but they alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll suck.

I kind of like LoVe--I mean, at least is doesn't LOOk stupid--although it is vomit-inducing, especially considering the kind of people Logan and Veronica are. Even if they're emo and squishy, they certainly don't like people to know it!

Clex does sound incredibly silly. And I think Skate's just as bad as Jate. I guess with it's a made-up silly word vs. a word that's absurd as used to describe a sexual relationship.
