The Long Con (2.13)
Just watched; posting before I even read my flist. (Didn't spoil myself before the ep either.) I'm beyond the level of commenting even relatively intelligently. I mean, I was too distracted by Josh Holloway yumminess to even second-guess the plot. ;)
10 things designed especially to kill me dead (annotated and in no important order):
1. Sarcasm + dimples = heaven.
2. "I Love You" (*died* *came back, ignored those who would say this is a stupid, overly-romantic fangirl thing to squeal over* *died again*)
3. That I'm a willfully stupid enough viewer not to figure out precisely what/who "the long con" was until the end
4. New Sherriff (*snort*, but it does complicate the power issue, which I like)
5. Dark Charlie (although, why in the HELL did he agree to attack Sun...the rest of his actions have motives, but that...?)
6. Kate and Ana hot oil wrestling (BWAH!)
7. GRRR...our boys fighting, and Jack "winning" (not that we all haven't written better confrontations)
8. Making Jack look like a dumb ass (I still love you, baby, but you're an idiot)
9. Making Locke look like a moron (always good...such a psuedo-philosophical, self-righteous asshole)
10. Any moment that featured Sawyer emoting with those sea-colored eyes--angry, seductive, serious...all so nice
That be the end of the knee-jerk reaction list.
ETA: I'm pissed at Sawyer for these shenanigans, mostly because now I don't know if I should continue my Sawyer/Sun series. It's already AU enough because I've killed off Jin, but now...GRR!
