I think Cynric's player shouldn't waste the XP, and should instead make his PC join the Crones.

Oh, there's been conversation on the topic ICly. Cynric's been scouted by at least two other covenants since the start of the chronicle. (I'm not entirely certain about the others; there may have been a pitch in there that I just didn't pick up on.)
