"Love is about sacrafice, and I promise that the sacrafices that you make for another will not only be worth every tear that you shed, they will one day be made for you instead of by you."

For instance: Mark made a sacrafice with moving to Nijmegen for me. He wouldnt have done that if he didnt believe he would get something back for it.
I think this qeuote makes it easier to see through bad times whne they come. Cause sometimes to make things work, you have to make sacrafices.

Continuing on the sacrifice discussion... From a Buddhist point of view, any 'charity' (giving, so also 'sacrifice') should be done from a place where you do not expect anything back. You give because you want to, not for some kind of profit.
"Love is about giving, and I promise that the gifts that you give another will not only be worth every tear that you shed, they will one day be given to you instead of by you."
I must admit, 'sacrifice' sounds a lot more dramatic. One would not cry over something you give voluntarily. ^^

And if someone I love was crying because they had to sacrifice something for me, I would do everything in my power to stop that from happening. Making people cry for you is not a good sign!

Love is selfless and Lust is selfish.
This is why people try to strike a balance of the two within a relationship. ^_^ If the balance isn't there, problems often develop eventually leading to a break down - I'm sure we all can think of examples from our own experiences (I know I fecking well can).
Golly, I rarely tell anyone that view of mine! Maybe I should say it more... >_>; or not, I dunno...
This is an interesting quote though. Definately thought provoking. :)
