I made some new friends today...

As I previously posted,  my  work sponsored this fund raiser with all of the proceeds going directly to the waystation. I got the pleasure and privilege to meet some of the residents of the waysation. I will donating my photography skills to this organization in the near future. My work will also be making a sizeable donation to this organization, as well.

Don't know what the waystation is? Here is some info:

The Wildlife WayStation (the "WayStation") is a nonprofit corporation that operates a unique animal sanctuary located on 160 acres just north of the San Fernando Valley in the Angeles National Forest, California. Founded in 1976, the WayStation is committed to rescue, rehabilitate, relocate, and provide sanctuary to wild and exotic animals from around the world, as well as native wildlife.

The Wildlife WayStation, the nation’s largest sanctuary for abused, abandoned and injured wild and exotic animals, which has rescued over 77,000 animals since it was founded 31 years ago, is calling on local and state officials and the public to save its 400 exotic animals residents.

Although it has overcome many past financial crises, the WayStation is announcing that it was out of cash reserves as of today and is $1 million in debt. It costs $5,000 per day to provide the minimum food and care for the animals donations are needed immediately.

Please donate to the waystation and make a difference in an animals life. This is the last stop for most animals rescued. Help them keep their homes!!
