I made us a soundtrack! A song for each character, and a few that just make me think of the storyline.

No, seriously. This song just made me think of Jamal. It’s very sad, and I don’t think it’s perfect for him, but he helps a lot of people, and he cares about all of them, and this made me think of him.

Candy (Aaron Carter) - I know a girl who’s tough but sweet / She’s so fine she can’t be beat.
I SHOULD BE SHOT ON SIGHT FOR INCLUDING THIS.
Candleburn (Dishwalla) - On Vineland past the candle shrine that melts into the street design / She waits for someone / Tonight she'll give herself away / She'll break apart all by herself / It’s so easy how we come undone.
I don’t know exactly why this makes me think of Sarah. It’s just very sad, sweet, a little lost.
Expectations (Belle & Sebastian) - And the head said that you always were a queer one from the start / For careers you say you went to be remembered for your art / Your obsessions get you known throughout the school for being strange.
This is such a good Cynicide song. It’s very misfit-y, but not giving up quite yet.

Butterflies Instead (K’s Choice) - I lock the door and lock my head / And dream of butterflies instead.
This is such a beautiful song. It’s about a child whose parents are getting divorced, so, um, it doesn’t really apply, and is a blatant plug. LISTEN TO IT.
Mad World (Gary Jules cover) - I find it hard to tell you / I find it hard to take / When people run in circles it’s a very, very / Mad world.

This is an amazing, heartrending song about loss of innocence. It just struck me as perfect.
