[It'll be summer for as long as I say it is -- or until I get the last of these things posted.]
I should be hitting myself in the head with something right about now. I’ve heard about this show for years now, and for some reason I thought I wouldn’t like it. What was I thinking?! I finally watched the first episode as part of a ‘Pilots of Canadian Shows I Might Like to Watch’ line up. And then I proceeded to catch up with the whole series (36 episodes at the time), in a matter of 18 days. I’m probably still light-headed even now.
I love this show! Everyone is awesome and relatable! It’s in T.O.! They’ve got the cool pants! There’s wump, but not just wump, it’s wump with emotion! The end montages are wonderful, with great music, and they sometimes-kinda-always make me cry. Spike!
SPIKE! Sergio Di Zio! What else is there to say? I’m incoherent, unable to compress my awe and devotion and unwavering love into real, tangible words. This is just the kind of show that makes me HAPPY, and PROUD, and almost GIDDY just thinking about it. I can hardly wait, sitting here typing this, knowing that there’s a new episode for me to watch. I’m way too excited now. Look at what you’ve done. This is just ridiculous. But, tsé, a good ridiculous.
Unless you kill Spike like you did Lewis. Don’t you pull a Fringe on me, Show. Don’t you dare. No, I won’t even think of it. It is not even in the realm of possibility. It’s like my dog deciding to just stop shedding. It will never happen. Never.
