Chuck Catch-up (feat. A Rant and 24. Yo.)
I'm way behind on Chuck, so I've been re-watching season two yesterday and today (finished eleven episodes so far, thank you very much), and in re-watching 2x11 Chuck versus Santa Claus, I noticed something I had completely missed before. Sergeant Al Powell! In this ep as a member of Burbank PD, and also as a lovely, oddly-specific Die Hard reference. Yay Die Hard!
Also, I accidentally saw an episode synopsis or two for the more recent episodes, and I cannot contain my nerdy glee at seeing that Scott Bakula is Chuck and Ellie's father. I have to admit that I know him more from Enterprise, seeing as I never quite got into Quantum Leap when it syndicated on Sci-Fi. But given more time with that channel... who knows, I might have.
(On the topic of the Sci-Fi channel, did I hear something about a name change a while back? Something like "SyFy"? Because... no. Just no. Don't degrade yourself like that. Put all the money that would be going toward new company stationary toward a decent Sci-Fi Original movie. Because, face it, this channel desperately needs another Dog Soldiers.)
And on the note of 24. Oh my god I hate my tv reception. You know how long it took me to figure out that it was Larry who had been shot? And then... that thing that happened. And I was just starting to like him.
