La lune s'attristait...

The weather is doing a number on my body lately. First its mild and rainy, then freezing and snowy. I was scraping the ice off my car this morning and recognized that when I start a career after college, I want to live somewhere that I don't have to deal with that. Like Pennsylvania, definitely has all four seasons but winter doesn't last until eternity.

We're watching this fantastic movie in my Women and Politics class called, "Iron-Jawed Angels." Its about the early women's movement and Alice Paul. Although much like a documentary, the soundtrack is very contempory and the film style is very artsy. I recommend.

I am formally applying this weekend to a summer study abroad program in Montpellier, France. It's a graduate creative writing workshop through the University of New Orleans and after speaking to the director, I have a very good chance in going. I think I've been (literally) jumping up and down for the last four or so days. My roommates are probably very tired of hearing me talk about this trip. It seemed more real to me when I sat down tonight and started writing some stuff in French again.

I watched "Project Runway" on Bravo tonight with the girls and it made me all excited to get my sewing machine for my birthday next month. Its pretty silly that I'm turning 21 and all I'm excited about is having my car insurance go down and being able to sew my own designs, finally. The whole drinking thing is rather anticlimatic. And not a huge deal to me.

I am very happy with my class load, or rather lack of it, this semester.
Je me sens très content avec ma vie!
