My wireless internet isn't working on my laptop, so here I am, "doing civics homework." Zac and Aydar and Misha and Peter F. are all trying out for the talent show as we speak, doing a rock song, so cross your fingers for them! If they get in, I get to be their roadie, and supply Misha with an amp. Go me! Natalie said she'd be their groupie, but then rethought her statement and decided to be my groupie instead. Aren't I just irresistable? Oh, Sarah took the coolest picture of me playing bass when she was over and she sent it to me, so I'm gonna post it if I ever find the time to scan it. I'm trying to get her to email me one I know she took of me licking my guitar, but don't hold your breath.
Going over to Nat's Friday, she's sleeping over Saturday - it looks to be a busy weekend. Dad's coming back from Chicago or New York or Boston or Pittsburgh, or possibly Phoenix on Wednesday. If I'm lucky.
OH! Dad's buying me this massive $500 amp! w00t! I'll finally be able to hear myself! I swear to god - my other one could've been a Christmas tree ornament or a paperweight or something. It's so small - like 10 watts or something. He's also thinking about buying another electric guitar, which is silly. Honestly, how many guitars can he reasonably play at once? He's already got like 3!
But I have to be nice to him, because he's sending me to one of two summer camps this summer - one expensive three-week sleepaway one in upstate New York, a rock camp, which looks awesome, or another in Austin near my cousins. It's a day camp, but I'd be staying with my extended family for the two weeks during which I will 1) cut a CD 2) play a club, and 3) write songs with other musicians my age. Kickass!
