I am officially pissed.
Three years ago, I was an avid radio listener. There were only two stations that I really, REALLY liked: 103.7 FNX being my favorite, with 95.5 WBRU being a close second. About three years ago, they shut FNX down. I was so pissed that I stopped listening to the radio altogether, except that they turned it into a Sportstalk radio station which my dad now listens to every morning in the car on the way to school. It makes me sad.
Now, I hear that 95.5 WBRU has met with the same fate. Apparently, it's under new management now. The last station that I actually listened to is gone.
Why does this happen to all the decent radio stations? I am so SICK of pop and rap and hip-hop, yet the stations supporting them thrive while the rock stations that were the pinnacles of my youth have been shut down. I know I haven't listened to the radio in years, but it still makes me sick that they would shut WBRU down.
I'm really hoping it's an April Fool's Day joke. If it isn't, I will be SO angry.
That is all.
:EDIT: Apparently, it was a joke. Thank God.
