Sea you next tuesday

Everything I seem to see
Has reminded me of when we
Were walking and staring at the sea

Your being, with my seeing
Eyes that begun steering
From the crashing waves to our faces nearing

With blankets and humidity
Tangled is where I'd want to be
Underneath a shady multi-limbed oak tree

Though I thought you a dream
Your luminescence was not fleeting
Underground magnets that kept us from leaving

Were placed there by an all foreseeing
Person who knew what we were thinking
But knew little else of the organs deteriorating

Our hearts, are now empty
Words, filled with futility
Our smiles once there, missing

Now all we have are our memories
Stained glass window treasuries
And I'm left staring at the sea
