Well, I finally got my Christmas shopping done. I really hate going out shopping during this time of year for anything because it feels like the Running of the Bulls...except with angry soccer moms instead of cows (not that there's much of a difference half the time). Usually, I get my shopping done early so that I don't have to deal with this crap, but it was a little different this year since I ended up deciding somewhat last minute to get a few new friends something (you'll know who you are when you get it). I'm really glad that my boots have steel toes in them too, though I'm going to have a really ugly bruise on my arm from when I was sideswiped by a lady with a buggy. Tis the season, alright.
It's going to be a little weird spending Christmas away from home for the first time. While not exactly the highlight of the year, you get accustomed to the familiarity of the family traditions and everything. And admittedly, Mom's cooking is way better than anything I've yet to find up here. They're talking about having another social thing for students who didn't go home for the holidays. I may go...not sure yet.
