It was actually a Bloom County reference. Opus the Penguin is working the personals desk at the newspaper when an attractive woman comes in and posts an ad that says ( roughly ) "SWF seeking male flightless waterfowl. Herring Breath a plus. Must like getting footrubs, schnozz massages, etc." She leaves and Opus says "As God is my witness..."
