1. The "days without takeout" made it to 37 before we reset it when we had pizza delivered from Angelo's on July 25 for Tulip's thirteenth birthday. She got a very small piece of cheese pizza and was quite appreciative.
The "days without eating in a restaurant" counter now stands at 146. I've added a "longest" streak to the stats starting this week.

2. The hot streak of new recipes cooled off significantly, with only three in this increment. The total for the year is now 67.
- The June 2020 Eating Well offered up
Easy Salmon Cakes with Arugula Salad. They were, in fact, easy. They were also very tasty, and I expect we'll make them again. Slap them on a bun and you could use them as a salmon burger.
- We went back to the May 2020 Eating Well for the
spring green soup, which ended up basically being an adequate but no amazing leek soup with asparagus. We did run out of parsley before I made this, but I don't think it would have made that much of a difference.
- We made the
Grilled Peach and Brie Smothered Chicken with goat cheese at M's request. That minor change didn't negatively impact this recipe, which features two of M's favorite things in peaches and arugula. The Griddler was up to the task of grilling everything. Although the chicken would have been boring by itself, with grilled peaches and cheese plus a nice arugula salad base it was a more than acceptable meal that M says I should make again.
