Here's a mid-year update on my
2019 goals.
Stay Small
Stated goal: My target weight for 2019 is 205 pounds
Results: I've been between 205 and 210 all year long, which is pretty good.
While that looks like success, it's not perfection. I've eaten food at work a few more times than I would have liked and will owe some money to charity at the end of the year. Call it A-.
No Red Meat
A+. I have not eaten red meat since the post went up. I only had one close call where I picked up a roast beef sandwich from a buffet without thinking, but I noticed in time.
Bike Lakewood
D+. I found a paper map, and I've done two specific rides around Lakewood for about 20 miles. I'm not anywhere near finishing this. Finding the time to ride has been the biggest challenge. It seems like I'm often tired from the gym, or from biking to work, or have set plans, or the weather is miserable. I need to commit and start scheduling this to succeed.
Donate More to Charity
D-. I've made two big donations to charity out of seven months, as well as a few other smaller donations. The main problem here honestly isn't the money, it's remembering to do it and figuring out which charity to donate to when I do remember. It's easy to get analysis paralysis.
