To my complete lack of surprise, the letter 'P' was nearly double the letter
'O'. The letter 'P' also hit the rare trifecta of having one each of a really good band (
Pylon), a really terrible band (
Pablo Cruise and, most excitingly, a band I couldn't find it the library anywhere. That last artist was
P.J. Proby, who I could not find anywhere except in the title to a
Van Morrison song, which I did play.
I'm throwing in the letter 'Q' as well because I recognized every single artist that was covered in its scant six pages, from
Suzi Quatro to
Quiet Riot.
11/25 - Augustus Pablo, &Pablo Cruise, Graham Parker
12/02 - The Penguins, Pentangle, Pete Rock & CL Smooth
12/09 - Peter & Gordon, Pay Peterson, Phranc
12/16 - Bobby "Boris" Pickett, PM Dawn, Poco
12/23 - Prefab Sprout, Maxi Priest, *PJ Proby
12/30 - ATLANTA
1/06 - Psychic TV, +Pylon, Gerry Rafferty
The letter 'R' has 52 pages, so I expect to take it to February 14 and the
third anniversary of this project! I had once estimated based on
'A' & 'B' that this would take more than four years, and that still seems correct. This would give us a completion date some time in Summer 2020.
