31 Concerts / 59 Bands to Close Out 2018
After my prior post, I went to three more concerts in December. That brought my total for 2018 to 31 concerts featuring 59 bands.
29. Wesley Bright & the Honeytones - Happy Dog
M & I and many of our friends saw saw local soul band Wesley Bright & the Honeytones perform at for their 45" single release party on Friday, December 7. For me at least, this was my first ever gig at the Happy Dog. It took me long enough! Covered in more detail here.
Cary & the Dissidents - The House of Swing
M & I made our first ever trip to the House of Swing when I saw Cary & the Dissidents there on Friday, December 21. We caught the second of two sets. My friend Don joined this jazz combo as a drummer recently and this was his first time playing out with them.
South of Nashville w/Alley Sweatmon - Johnny's Bar
As part of our New Year's Eve adventure at the Possum Drop, M and I saw this country cover artists at a dive bar in Tallapoosa, Georgia. I certainly hadn't been to that venue before either, but I think that one is a little more explicable!
