Timelines
How long have you participated in a given activity? I'm not talking about the obvious things like you have to do to stay alive (e.g., eating, breathing) but the things you choose to do or perhaps have chosen for you when you are young. For example, how about school?
Formal Education - K-12, plus 5 years of college. 18 years: 1983-2001.
And then there's my current day job:
Employed, Programmer - 11.5 years: 2002-present
Employed, General - 19 years: 1994-present (with only one semester unemployed)
And radio:
WRUW Programmer - 14 years: 1998-present, less one year in 2001-2002.
WRUW Sunday Afternoon Programmer: 11 years: 2002-present.
How about some of the seminal experiences of childhood?
Scouting - 8 years: 1985-1993.
Football - 7 years: 1990-1997.
Active Video Gamer - 16 years: 1988-2004.
So what have I done the longest? There's one thing that's way out in front that I almost forgot:
Oakland A's Fan - 25 years: 1988-present.
The A's can clinch the division tonight with a win and a Rangers loss.
