As A's pitcher (and #51) Dallas Braden threw the 19th perfect game in MLB history. Even better, he threw it against the team with the best record in baseball, the Tampa Bay Rays (and yes, it feels funny to type that).

This cheered me up immensely. Too bad it only counts for one game in the standings.
