We had drinks at
87 West in Crocker Park a few weeks back to celebrate my profit sharing check. It is vastly overpriced; if I'm going to have an expensive drink I'd rather pay $15 for one a Velvet Tango Room than will knock my socks off than $10 for a decidedly average one here. It did have a decent cheese plate though.
8. Tillamook White Cheddar - I appreciate that the monks in Oregon don't have much to compare to, but this is bland and boring. Creamy, yes. Interesting, no. 4/10.
9. Tillamook Smoked Cheddar - Also made by Oregon monks. This is a little better than the white cheddar, but still nothing special. 4.5/10.
I bought this one on a whim.
10. Irish Cheddar - a little harder than the Rogue Chocolate Stout Cheddar, a little blander than the Black Diamond Cheddar. Good with crackers, but nothing that makes it stand out over the many other options available. 6/10.
We've got a couple more to rate from our recent dinner at
Three Birds (excellent), but they still need to be transcribed from the notes we wrote down.
