dean with nothing to lose isscary. kind of like a machine right now. omg. he's lost everyone he loved, but sam - sam was the most important thing. the reason to carry on. now that he's gone... *cries more* oh god. kripke, you bastard!

OMG totally!! This was like the very very worst thing Kripke could do to Dean - killing Sam. What's his deal with Dean!angst I wonder :((
Seeing Dean hold Sammy like that and Sam not responding *shudders* oh god! I was so not expecting that and it just.. it killed me! Can't wait for next week because DAMN IT he's got to bring Sammy back!!! *sniff*

That was so sad and it was such a good coda. The repeated use of 'he/him' makes everything feel so impersonal and that breaks me even more.

The ending eeeee ;-;.

That was great. I want to be sure I understand the end though. Sam is waiting for Dean? Where does Dean go at the end?

I guess I was going for vague but maybe it's TOO vague? :D Dean could be going possibly anywhere... to confront the YED in a last and final battle, or to cut a deal with the crossroads demon or any other spell he might organize to get Sam back or whatever. Doesn't matter!

What matters is that, we don't know if Dean makes it or not. We don't know if he will be able to come back to the cabin and free Sam's spirit or not. But Sam, even in death, despite everything, still trusts his brother blindly. And all he knows is that Dean promised him, so he will come back for him and they will see each other soon. No matter how Dean does it. Even if he is dead himself.

I just wanted to show how Dean *thinks* he is pretending that Sam is still with him. But what he didnt know was, Sam really was still with him, that he was actually sensing his presence throughout but Bobby didnt.

Let me see if I can improve the ending. Thanks again hon.

Ah ok so my first thought about the ending was slightly right. It wasn't too vague but I just wasn't sure which thought you left me with was the right one.

Apparently I thought about it way too much, lol.

That was excellent. The intense emotion come through beautifully in this fic. I could just see Dean falling to pieces then just going blank and concentrating on what he has to do to finish the job, with small cracks for heated emotion coming through like shots of steam in a cracked kettle. Loved the fact the Sammy is still there waiting for his brother to come back for him, always trusting that no matter what Dean will do what has to be done to get back to Sam. Wonderful!

Woah.. that's a brilliant way to put it hon and exactly! :) Sam's dying is the worst thing Kripke could ever have done to Dean. Maybe he likes to torture the older brothers *sniff*

Loved the fact the Sammy is still there waiting for his brother to come back for him..

That's the one thing I love about this show. The brothers' love and blind faith in each other. I'm really glad you liked this hon. cheers again :)
