I have two little hands. . .

What did I do with my little hands today? Today my little hands made oatmeal, bathed and dressed children, combed hair. My little hands made cupcakes at 7:30 in the morning so they would be cool enough to ice one for Brindy's lunch. These hands packed that lunch and cupcake complete with sprinkles, and these hands gave a swat on the bum of the little boy who stole the sprinkles and crawled under the table to eat the whole jar.  These hands buttoned coats and sweaters against the fall chill. These hands chopped kindling until they tingled with strain. These hands made a paper hat for a teddy bear, and scooped baby food dribbling down a little chin. These hands typed notes to friends and family far away. These little hands chopped meat and vegetables and stired the stew. These hands kneaded bread dough and shaped it into loaves. These hands crochetted little red yarn rows back and forth while children drifted off to sleep. These hands built a fire to warm the house. These hands steared a mini van carefully through neighborhoods and school zones. These hands showered and wiped down two preschoolers who had eaten too much fiber. These hands made bottles for the baby and tickled her till she got the hickups.  These hands scrubbed a toiled today, and tied shoes, and put on a video for the kids. Now these little hands are very tired, but before they rest, they will fold and be grateful for being so full. These are happy hands.
