If you have been reading my LJ, you will have read my rant about security at school.
I specifically said sharp pencils, and I'm obviously a prophet.
Recently a student attending high school in Springfield, Illinois, attacked someone with a sharp pencil in the hallway.
She was suspended.
Just thought I'd mention that.
