I've been pondering something the past few days (though the seeds have been germinating for several months). So how do I put this without sounding whiny...?

Well, I'm not as involved in Naruto fandom in general anymore since I don't keep up with the manga or anime. I also try to wait until fics are finished before reading them so that's why I haven't commented much on any of your Will of Fire stuff. Could it be that others are doing something similar?

I think Kakasaku is alive and well here in LJ land based on how often the comm has challenges and posts.

I'd say LJ is declining based on how often I get comments on my own entries now and how often my friends update... But looking around communities it seems like LJ is still active as usual. I think it's just that people spread their time more now between various journals and social media so things might be a little less active?

I think fandom is something that is always changing and growing and so it will live forever. I mean, even before the internet fandom existed. It's just that certain fandoms decline in activity either because there is no new material coming out or a majority has moved on to other fandoms.

Anyway, yeah, sorry that was kind of disjointed. I get where you're coming from.
