La la laaaaa
Well - the wedding on the weekend was Beautiful. And Jewish weddings are so much fun! Dancing and eating and drinking and eating and some more dancing. Hmm-mmm - what more could a girl ask for? I guess she could ask for a perfect day of her own. BaH - my 'wedding' was so crap - while I appreciate that you can't compare apples with lychees - and so was the marriage itself.
When one of my bestest friends-in-the-whole-world got married - it was a real eye opener for me. Granted it was during a really shite time of my life - my hubby had decided to disappear and consequently forced me into a real assessment of what the hell I wanted and how I could provide for myself what would make me happy. It certainly hadn't proved to be a husband.
I haven't been to many weddings in my long career - but I do seem to have been lucky enough to have been to very beautiful ones where there is just so much love: between the bride and groom, and emanating from everyone, family and friends, in support of their union.
*sigh*
I have finally figured out that a perfect wedding, a lifetime union, partnership, whatever is EARNED between two people - not just something that happens because you want it really badly. No matter how convincing or conniving your demands. heh heh.
