As cunning as a fox with a degree in cunning from Oxford University?

In our occasional series Wildlife of Lincoln College, we are proud to introduce this week's new arrival, Fred the (Urban) Fox.

As I was conducting interviewees around College (of which perhaps more at a later date) this morning, we came across the fox in the library quad.  Poor little thing was all shivery and scared-looking.  He then proceeded (by the sounds of things) to run riot through all the College's outdoor spaces, and has was last seen going to ground in the garden of the Rector's Lodgings.

I'm sure the poor thing is very bemused by its surroundings, but watching several grown men leap out of its way like scared children, and proceed to argue about who was to deal with it made me giggle nonetheless!

After the ducks, the pigeons and this, whatever next - a Magdalen College deer, perhaps?
