Favorite Vid: Before the Dawn, no question. That one came out very nicely.
Least Favorite: Run. Not because I don't think it's good, but more because I didn't enjoy making it.
Most Successful: Run won Best PB&J of the year at LVI so I guess it would be that one. Wonderwall did quite well too.
Vid that I think should've gotten more attention: Resurrection. I think it was burried amont the thousands of other 'Charlie Tributes' out there and maybe if I've gotten it out when Charlie's death was still fresh on people's mind, then I would have gotten more attention for it. It's my favorite Lost vid to date.
Most fun to make: Run. Kidding!! Before the Dawn, no question. It's because the show is still very fresh to me and I was using all the scenes and clips for the first time. And I'm currently passionate about the show and that helped tremendously in my 'motivation level'. It was very refreshing to be using new material and not struggling to make it look different from my other vids. And the special effects really came together in the first 10 seconds and I realized I might have had something really interesting going on. It was a technical challenge but a fun one.
Hardest to Make: Run. First it was frakking 6 minutes long. Second, it was my zillion PB&J vid and I struggled to keep it different from what I had done before. Third, I tried to incorporate techniques I never used before like moving textures. Not always successfully. Fourth, I was still upset about Charlie's death and my ship sinking... it was difficult to go through all the clips, especially the 'recap' section.
Things I've Learned: Effects are overrated, often simple vids are more effective than effect-heavy vids, AU is fun, you don't always have to follow the lyrics, choosing clips with a lot of movement is always a plus and having a theme is probably the most important aspect of your video.
Things to work on: Originality. My vids might me 'technically' good but they could improve on the originality factor.
Vids coming soon:
'Soon' is relative but I promised
falafel_fictionthat I would be doing a Charlie/Desmond vid based on one of her theory (the flash/superman theory). I also want to make an ensemble BSG vid to a song I adore (not disclosing it yet) and last I want to make a fast, beat-heavy Baltar/Six video.
