I made this video for Cappy (
falafel_fiction) using her song suggestion. We must have similar music taste because I love Nick Drake too! Thank you so much because I've always wanted to do a Sayid vid but I could never find a song that fitted...

Sayid graphic!!! Yay, fun! :) Did you have anything in mind?

And have I told you how beautiful this vid is? Beautiful song, tragic story... I love Sayid/Nadia. Watching this makes the whole Shayid thing seem even more wrong. What were they thinking? I love the woman in Enter 77 too (I can't remember if she had name now). She was amazing. I liked how you cut back and forth between her and Nadia; it emphasized how painful it must have been for Sayid to face her, whether he really tortured her or not.

Watching this makes the whole Shayid thing seem even more wrong.

ITA. I really, really liked Shannon but her romance with Sayid seemed so wrong to me. That's why I didn't include Shannon at all in this vid. And maybe that's why Daire annoys me more than all the other Claire cult ships out there. It would be another instance of setting up an epic love story just to have the male character go for the cute young blond. I'm so glad that's not where they're going with Desmond. I love him and Penny too much. ♥

I hate that too. When I've really screwed something up I've deleted the whole comment and started over again, seething over the fact that the person is going to get two emails and wonder what the heck I'm doing. Oh well.

I'm off to watch the vid ten more times until I'm sure I have a feel for it. :D I like that it's mostly flashback scenes. You put it in chronological order again, didn't you? I love it when you do that. :)

IMPLODES!!!

Thank you so much, cylune!! The changes you have made are absolutely perfect. I must say this is the first Sayid vid that has ever really got to the heart of his character for me. I love how you blended his past life with little island flashes of Sayids cat and Nadias photograph. It balanced everything beautifully. The Nadia/Sayid shipping worked very well with the song lyrics. I really didn't care for the Sayid/Shannon ship either (even though I'm a big Shan fan).

Naveen is sooo dreamy, gorgeous and angsty in this video. I just love it! Thanks for dedicating it to me. I'm off to watch it about 10 more times...

awwww!!! Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it! I'm so afraid when I do a video for someone that they'll end up disappointed. :) Thanks again for all the suggestions - you were right, it does balance the story more.

I forgot to say this before but I love the grainy texture. The whole thing has a very Arabian feel.

I very much like the Sayid/Nadia connection but I think it is actually quite different from the Desmond/Penny relationship. Sayid/Nadia were never lovers. They could have been lovers but they never got the chance. Now they are truly lost from each other, nothing but a memory to each other. The lyrics "Something has taken you so far from me" are very fitting. I don't think that Sayid and Nadia will ever meet again (though I strongly believe Desmond and Penny will be reunited). I think that the words on Nadias photograph "You'll see me in the next life, if not in this one" will (sadly) hold true.

Thanks again for this video! I can't wait for your Chesmond vid but I can understand you waiting for more clips.

Yes, you're quite right about the Sayid/Nadia connection different than the Des/Penny one. Nadia was almost surreal.

And I have this depressing feeling that Sayid is not going to make it alive when the show will end. He's too much of a tragic figure... but if it happens, lets hope it's going to be in the final episode.

I can't wait for your Chesmond vid but I can understand you waiting for more clips.

And I cannot wait to start!!!! argh!!!! I want the season to be over so I can start but then again, I don't want the season to end. Catch-22 perhaps? ;)
