Ok, I realize I didn't update yesterday. Shame on me. Oh well. Life goes on.
So the past 2-3 days have been pretty eventful and busy. My longtime Reno friend Shelby was visiting with her friend Teresa and it was my job to show them a good time in LA. On Monday night we ended up going to Westwood with Chelsie, another Reno-ite now living in Santa Monica, pledge bro Dax and my pal John. Fun times were had, money was spent, and I got my fair share of witnessing wealthy Persian culture at play.
Afterwards, hearing word of a Cowan party, I took them over to check it out. Unfortunately it was an all-Abercrombie party. Never a good sign when the first question from everyone is, "So, you work at Abercrombie?" Ah well, it was actually entertaining in its own right and my friends got a kick out of the whole -ridiculous- idea of it.
Yesterday the girls spent nearly all day getting their hair done at Vidal in Santa Monica, so I kicked around the apartment all afternoon being bored. A brief interesting event occurred when I drove Vojin to work we saw Ashlee Simpson and her boyfriend driving -badly- next to us. Haha. She got booed at the Orange Bowl later. Dumb lipsyncing mullet ho.
Continuing our tour of LA, I chauffeured them out to Beverly Hills via Wilshire and we hit up Beverly Center and the Grand Lux Cafe for an awesome dinner. Finally, we headed back home, passing through the Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills and got to bed early.
Much of today was spent in Venice Beach. Thank God the rain held off cause part of the fun is seeing all the vendors and crazy people out there. I swear, the same folks I saw a year ago are still there. Venice is such a cool albeit sketchy place. I love it and I've only been 3-4 times since being at LMU.
So Shelby and Teresa departed and I had a rather embarassing doctor appointment in that my knee was was horridly painful a few weeks ago is now 100% better and I had to get examined and basically tell them I felt fine. I just felt like I was wasting their time, but at least I have the green light to snowboard, ski, exercise, etc.
Speaking of exercise...
Starting Monday, my roommate(s)? and I will be starting a vigorous 12-week exercise plan. I did it half-heartedly about 2 years ago. I did the exercising for 12 weeks, but kinda ignored the eating well aspect. I had decent results, but not totally what I wanted. This time, however, since my roommates love to cook, they are gonna make sure we eat right and we're gonna make sure we all stick with it. Tara's mom is a personal trainer who just finished it and she's in the best shape of her life, so she got her psyched, and now Tara got me psyched. Plus my New Year's resolution was to update more and work out more... so if all goes well I'll be a whole new man by April 3rd!
I'm going to the Getty tomorrow.
Ok. End Post.
